Recently, I received
a copy of "Kamustahan sa Quazo 1999" souvenir program courtesy of our good
friend, Susan Juachon-Roman, a fellow "Pearl 1974". In one of our e-mail
exchanges, she mentioned about this great souvenir program (SP) of a QCHS
reunion sponsored by our batch (1974). So I asked if she could get me a
copy just in case she happens to find an extra one lying around some coffee
table of one of her friend’s house during her upcoming trip to the Philippines.
Shortly after coming back from vacation, she graciously granted my request
and mailed me this invaluable piece of memento. A million thanks to Susan
and husband Larry for their thoughtfulness. The picture above was
taken just yesterday in one of our usual dinner gatherings in Toronto,
Canada. Edwin and Vida Ponce de Leon were the hosts of that particular
“chibugan”. The next one will be in my place. You see – we
too haven’t lost the friendship from our high school years.

This pictorial message
is for our former classmates. We sort of got into the spirit of reminiscing
when we all saw the “Kamustahan 1999” magazine. It was a bit of a
challenge recognizing certain faces after some 25 years but a very
nice and pleasant feeling indeed. Hat’s off to the organizers, the
above mentioned Roman family, Kit Cabalquinto, Alan Alvarez, Edith Dumaguing-Orallo
and hubby Norman, Ed and Baby Madulid, Amboy Sta. Ana, Robert Magno, Marlyn
Oliveros-Manabat, Amelia Fresno-Paguyo, Rose Bertulfo-Lim, Cynthia Lacanilao-Vasquez,
Estela Salvador-Zamora and of course, Pareng Wewel de la Cruz.

Dear Rose (Bertulfo-Lim), Thanks for your article about my late sister,

Dear Luz (Lacanilao), I think it was you who sent our class picture for
the SP, hindi ba? I can see the “x”. It made my day when I saw it…Thanks
